Was good to see that Big Sam's interviews still annoy me even though he's managing a different team now.

With my laid back attitude that is a good effort fatty.

'I said at the time...he was the English Romario'

Why would you admit to ever saying that.

Defoe...280+ goals in 560 games...

Not sure where you've got those stats from Tex but they're quite a bit different to wiki. His real goal to games to ratio is still pretty good though to be fair.

Not many better English finishers than him over the last 20 years or so.

Re: Crystal Palace v Sunderland
Romario is one of the most natural finishers to ever grace the game, his trademark was the 'toe poke' finish. On a different level to Defoe, who to be fair has had a great career.

Like him or hate him...he's done the business...

I remember his headed goal for us at OT...

I said at the time...he was the English Romario

Fucking hell, Tex. The English Romario? Romario the world cup winner, world player of the year, world cup golden ball winner?

Defoe did once win a player of the month award in the Premier League to be fair.

Richard Keys will be on the vinegar strokes by now.

My first thought upon seeig this result was 'gutted' then realised that it's a good result for us!

Still gonna be tough to keep them up, but it's looking more like those Villa cunts will drop.

Let's hope Sunderland's fate is decided on the final day, and the walrus gets carried off to A and E after an OG in the last minute sends them down.

Re: Crystal Palace v Sunderland
Defoe has scored some 130 Premiership goals.

That puts him in a pretty exclusive club.

Time is up and Palace have a free kick
Ref should blow the whistle as per our Everton game.
Ah, no he allows the kick and then immediately blows the whistle when it goes out.

Sunderland win
Defended better but Palace were pretty MORIBUND and gave them the goal.

Can't believe some on here wanted Cabaye over Payet in the summer, he isn't half the player Payet is.

Despite that shambles of a performance yesterday, we stay sixth. Haha.

If Sunderland win then Villa will be 4 points from the next team (Bournemouth) and 5 points from safety.

Not much? Well they've won 1, drawn 2, lost TEN!

Might be Villa's year to finally go?
